Ethan Embry, a 22-year-old California native, has already filmed a long list of movies and TV shows. An aspiring actor, he said that fame and fortune never really appealed to him. His first movie was titled Dutch, starring Ed O'Neil. Embry was only 11 years old when he filmed it (aww!). After that movie, he continued to star in small production films, and went unoticed in the movie world. But his big break would soon come. As the silly character Mark in Empire Records, Embry gained a large audience. However, most critics called it a "flop." Then on November 14, 1998, he married an aspiring actress, Amelinda Smith. They had their first son on December 10, 1999 and named him Cogian, after the Latin word meaning "to consider." Today, Embry is the star of the Fox series Freakylinks (Fridays, 9pm Eastern Standard).
If Embry hadn't have pursued acting, he would have done photography. He enjoys surfing, skating, and music ranging from jazz to punk rock (yea!), but his favorite is definately alternative. His favorite bands/artists include: Weezer, Third Eye Blind, Rancid, Tracy Bongham, Violent Femmes, and Hula Shaker. At home, he has 2 other siblings, a brother and a sister. His younger sister, Kessia Randall acted in 3 of his movies. Ethan and his brother decided to change their last name to Embry after his parents' divorce so they could be closer to their grandfather. Although he is left handed, he can play bass with right. He has a band with his brother called Southern Comfort Colonic. He also played the bass player in That Thing You Do, however he hates the song.
